Teenagers are conceited and only care about social media For this photo, I wanted to show how everyone portrays teenagers, where they are constantly on their devices and disregarding their surroundings. People constantly say that all we care about are how many "likes" a photo gets, but everyone is more complex than just an vain social zombie. Identity For my interpretation of hiding my identity, I wanted this photo to show barely any of my face so you'd only be able to see some of my features. Many only associates your face and physical features to your identity, but I think that your identity is so much more. We immediately assume someone's identity by just their appearance, before even knowing how they act and think. Untitled Film Still My inspired Untitled Film Still showcases what everyone thinks high school is like. Also, many movies and TV shows portray high school, where it seems so simple, like everything is just black and white. I think that by sitting in front of something so repetitive and simple, there's so many ways to interpret this photo, as it could seem that I was hiding something behind my back, or I was just simply waiting for someone. |
Advertising Disruption

Project Statement:
I was able to learn about some of the aesthetics, styles, and ways advertisement is used to please specific audiences. Also being able to see the different styles placed together to make a new picture taught me how contrast can be used to my advantage. For all the ads I chose, I wanted them to each show different moods, but the photos are still slightly connected to one another. In Photoshop, I used the stamp tool to correct some missing spots, hue/saturation to strengthen some of the photos' colours, and the pen tool to deleted some exact or rounded edges. |
